Stayed there for one night and we had amazing experience. Kind and friendly staffs, very clean room/bathroom, great amenities and safe designated parking space. Thank you!

Stayed for one night, the room was very well set up, lots of attention to detail. Quiet area and was made to feel welcome. Enjoyed a meal in the bar and entertainment too. Only 3/4 parking spaces but plenty of on street parking a little down the road. Would return.

I don't post much for reviews, but the stay, the room and the breakfast were absolutely amazing. And for such a good price. Kind and accommodating staff aswell. Top marks

Decent hotel, but a lack of an inclusive breakfast is a little poor Stayed for 1 night on Thursday, 04th September 2025, having booked on Booking com for 1 night in a double room at £85.50, this didn't include breakfast, which was disappointing, especially as it was a pub/restaurant hotel. The room was decent and included tea/coffee and biscuits, as well as a sewing kit, a disposable toothbrush and a paste set. Decent night's sleep, but the shower drain not working properly led to an overfill in the shower bowl. The only changes I would recommend are that a main light switch be added to the wall next to the bed. The bed frame was super dodgy in terms of toe crushing risk, so keep your bedroom slippers on. Free parking on site is limited.

We're staying in the area on holiday and booked to have a meal for 9 of us. The whole experience was amazing, they had booked us in their nicely decorated dining room which we had to ourselves. Every member of staff were welcoming, friendly and really helpful. The chef even came out to answer our questions and was very agreeable when we asked for a few adaptations, which we were very grateful for. All of the food was delicious, came out hot and in a timely fashion. My husband said it was the best curry he's ever had. We couldn't have asked for a nicer family meal together. If we come to the area again we will definitely return. Thank you everyone at Y Griffin.

Just had food here but it was delicious. Homemade lasagne and homemade Steak and ale pie. The staff are super friendly.

We popped in for coffees and tentively enquired about gluten free meals ahead of any further visits. The landlady advised 'not an issue', then along came chef who talked me through many options and was extremely helpful. He even cooked a sample portion of halumi in tempora batter served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce for me taste! It was delicious with a crisp golden batter. So impressed we will definitely return to this lovely inn especially as the staff were so friendly and welcoming
